Royal Connection…

So the long awaited society event of the year is about to happen. When Meghan Markle walks down the aisle to marry her Prince the whole world it seems will stop and watch…

What is it about events like this that captures the combined imagination of the world? The pomp and the ceremony will be amazing to watch and as always, the Royal household will put on an amazing show.

However, beyond all the glitz, the glamour and the amazing scenes this is a celebration of two people who met and formed a connection. People can be cynical of the whole event but ultimately it is another example of how powerful connection between humans can be. The whole world is going to be glued to this event because it holds a special fascination – caused by the simple joining of two people.

Meghan and Prince Harry are from two more different worlds – yet when they met they found in one another something unique and special and this has been strong enough to draw them together.

When we think about this from a leadership perspective it shows how strong is the glue that binds when individuals feel a sense of connection to one another, or to an ideal or cause.

Just like the fairytale wedding that we are about to witness the greatest leaders have the ability to create a story that others want to be part of. Story telling is such a powerful concept and we as human beings love the chance to hear, and be part of a tale.

What narrative are you creating? Is it a tale that your teams want to be part of? Do you create fascination and compel people to be interested?

At Mindset Associates we help leaders to create compelling visions that inspire their teams to be part of. If you would like to talk to us about how we can power up your own story then please visit our website on www.MindsetAssociates.com
